When members have positioned a ground ladder to gain entry into a fire building (i.e. window or roof), there is a strong likelihood that they will also need that ladder for egress. Consequently, these members expect the ladder to be in place. Therefore, do not move or reposition this ladder, except if there is an immediate life hazard near by. In this case, contact must be made to notify the members inside that the ladder is being temporarily moved for rescue and will be returned immediately after its life saving use.
